The jEDi Committee is committed to advancing justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion in the architectural profession — with a special emphasis on education (“ED”) to foster a more diverse pipeline of future architects. Through outreach, mentorship, and advocacy, the committee works to elevate underrepresented voices and expand access to design education across our communities.
Goals:
-
Expand access to architecture and design education through K-12 outreach, mentorship programs, and the AIA Las Vegas High School Design Awards.
-
Promote justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion in the profession by advocating for equitable policies and celebrating diverse voices and contributions.
-
Inspire and prepare the next generation of architects by creating opportunities for students, teachers, and communities to engage with design at every stage of life.
