DESCRIPTION:Join AIA Las Vegas for an exclusive hard hat tour of the future home of the A’s\, led by project partner HNTB. This behind-the-scenes experience offers a unique opportunity to explore the stadium while it is still under construction. \nPlease note that this is a members-only event with limited capacity. Advance registration is required\, and spots will be filled on a first-come\, first-served basis. \nImportant: \n\nPPE: All required PPE will be provided on site.\nFootwear: Participants must wear boots (steel-toed not required). No tennis shoes or soft footwear allowed.\nClothing: Long pants are required—no shorts or skirts.\nHydration: We recommend bringing a water bottle.\nPhotography: No photos or social media posting will be permitted.\nWaiver: Once we have the RSVP list and participant emails\, we will send a waiver that must be completed prior to the tour.\nParking: There is no on-site parking. As water scarcity intensifies and landscape standards evolve\, the case for native and regionally adaptive planting has never been stronger — yet barriers in procurement\, policy\, availability\, and perception continue to slow adoption. \nJoin the AIA Las Vegas Placemaking Committee on April 30 for a dynamic moderated panel exploring how landscape decisions are made in Southern Nevada\, from concept through installation and long-term maintenance. This discussion will bring together leading voices across design\, horticulture\, policy\, and practice to share real-world experience on cost\, procurement\, risk\, and performance when working with native and regionally adaptive plant material. \nThe panel will focus on what works\, what does not\, and how project teams are adapting their approach to create more durable\, climate-appropriate landscapes without sacrificing project goals.
