SUMMARY:Lunch and Learn - The Importance of Medical Equipment Planning by The Concord Group
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a Lunch & Learn with Concord Group and connect with fellow industry professionals while gaining valuable insights and continuing education in a collaborative setting. \nWhat’s Keeping You Up at Night About Your Medical Equipment  (Project) Budget?\nA well-run capital healthcare project doesn’t just happen. It’s the result of smart planning\, accurate budgeting\, and careful coordination. Whether it’s a new hospital build\, a clinical renovation\, or a major equipment upgrade\, project success depends on getting the details right from the very beginning.\nOne of the most critical—yet often underestimated—components of any healthcare construction project is Medical Equipment Planning (MEQ). In fact\, medical equipment can easily account for 15% to 25% (or sometimes even more) of the total project budget\, depending on the type of facility\, the technology being used\, and the services being delivered.\n\nJoin Concord Group for an insightful discussion on the budgeting challenges\, strategic considerations\, and best practices that drive successful medical equipment planning.\nSecure your spont today!\n\nCredits: 1LU|HSW

SUMMARY:2026 Membership Kickoff Meeting: Film Screening & Director Q&A
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an exclusive screening of SCHINDLER SPACE ARCHITECT\, a feature-length documentary that illuminates the life\, work\, and enduring influence of modernist architect Rudolph M. Schindler. Narrated by Meryl Streep and Udo Kier\, the film traces Schindler’s journey from his Viennese education to his groundbreaking practice in Southern California\, where his visionary residential designs helped define a new way of living in the modern West. \nDirected\, produced\, written\, and edited by Bulgarian-American filmmaker Valentina Ganeva\, the documentary blends archival materials\, drawings\, and interviews to reveal Schindler’s distinctive approach to space\, light\, and landscape. It also delves into his creative struggles\, his unwavering artistic integrity\, and the reasons his legacy has too often remained in the shadows of more widely recognized modernists. \nThe film features insights from leading architects including Frank Gehry\, Thom Mayne\, Steven Holl\, Ray Kappe\, Mark Mack\, and others\, who reflect on how Schindler’s experimental houses\, spatial innovations\, and human-centered design continue to shape contemporary architectural thinking. \nFollowing the screening\, stay for a live Q&A with Director Valentina Ganeva\, offering a unique opportunity to discuss Schindler’s impact on the built environment\, the making of the film\, and what his work means for architects and designers today. \nThis event is designed for members who are passionate about design history\, architectural innovation\, and the power of storytelling to elevate our understanding of the built environment. \nDoors: 5:30 PM\nFilm: 6:00 PM\nDirector Q&A: 7:30 PM \nThank you to our sponsors for this event. \nMoser Architecture Studio\nNOVUS Architecture + Interiors\nAptus\nBlue Heron\nCarpenter Sellers Del Gatto\nVangson Consulting\nSky Terra Design\nNew Architectural Services\nGRN Vision\nJon Sparer\, FAIA\nOzzie Craft Pools
