Fernandez & ArchiPAC\, the American Institute of Architects Political Action Committee\, for an evening in support of Congresswoman Dina Titus\, a fighter for Southern Nevada. \nWhy This Matters to AIA Members\nStrong communities depend on thoughtful design\, resilient infrastructure\, attainable housing\, and a fair process for delivering public projects—priorities that transcend party lines and bring people together around the value of the built environment. \nRep. Dina Titus has consistently worked with architects and design professionals on these issues\, using her position on the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee to support policies affecting federal buildings\, infrastructure\, resilience\, emergency management\, and communities across Nevada. \nAs the lead House sponsor of the Democracy in Design Act\, she has championed a bipartisan principle central to our profession: that federal architecture should reflect the diversity\, character\, and needs of the communities it serves rather than a single government-mandated style. She has also supported efforts to expand housing resources for fast-growing states such as Nevada\, helping address one of the most urgent challenges facing our region. \nThis event is an opportunity for Southern Nevada’s architecture and design community to come together\, engage in the civic process\, and support a proven advocate for design freedom\, stronger communities\, and the important role architects play in shaping our shared future.
