Navigating Complex Code Issues in Southern Nevada: Strategies for Architects and Project Leaders

This intermediate-to-advanced seminar will explore complex and frequently misunderstood code issues affecting architectural practice in Southern Nevada. Designed for principals, senior architects, and project leaders, this session will focus on practical application, code interpretation, and real-world plan review considerations.

Topics will include:

  • Strategies for when and how to use different egress components to create an effective egress system without compromising design.
  • Significant changes to the A117.1 from the 2009 to the 2017, including local amendments.
  • IECC thermal envelope compliance, with a focus on what plan reviewers expect to see on construction documents.
