Sites and the City

Take a behind the scenes look at the many new projects underway in Las Vegas.  All of these projects aspire to make Las Vegas a more sustainable city and demonstrate the reawakening and revitalization taking place in Southern Nevada.  Get a first hand look at these projects and sites, and learn about the approach, elements and technologies used in the design.  Tours will include Continuing Education Hour Credits (CEHs will vary based on length of tour.)
These tours are being organized by AIA Las Vegas as an opportunity to educate the public about the profession of architecture and inform AIA members about significant projects in the Las Vegas area.   Each tour will be limited to a specific number of attendees to ensure that everyone gets the most out of the experience.

Were you a consultant on one of our tour projects?  Did you provide materials or design elements?  You should be a tour sponsor! Past tours have had an attendance of over 100 people and offer an excellent opportunity for local firms to both gain exposure and feedback from the public and AIA members.

For only $250 you get these benefits:

  • Recognized as the Sponsor of the selected “Site and the City” Project Tour
  • Display of your firm logo on website, marketing materials, electronic messages, hand-outs and tour signage (with link to your website when possible)
  • Two complimentary tickets to the selected tour

AIA Las Vegas strives to have a well rounded tour series with a variety of building types.  Past tours have highlighted adaptive reuse, green architecture, state-of-the-art technology, and historic preservation to name a few.

Benefits of Selected Projects on Tour Series:

  • Leverage publicity on website, social media outlets, E-blasts, monthly newsletter
  • Connect directly with other design professionals in the industry
  • Promote your project and firm/facility to future clients more easily

NOTE: All design firms are required to obtain approval from the property owner to open the facility to tour groups PRIOR to submitting project(s). After a project is selected the firm must confirm the selected tour date with the owner. The presenting firms are responsible for guiding the tours with at least three tour guides.  Projects of any type and size may be submitted to AIA Las Vegas for consideration.  These tours are being organized as a fund-raising opportunity for AIA Las Vegas.  All ticket sale funds will go to the Chapter.
