A New Series of Lectures by AIA LV Architects
Architects are interesting people. That’s because they are people who are interested in a wide variety of things. By education and, certainly by their own personal curiosity, They are problem solvers. Many are artists, writers, musicians, and sculptors. Some are researchers, teachers, civic and business leaders. All come to the profession of architecture to “make a difference”… to share their knowledge and their experiences and to create, to improve, to advance, to enrich our communities. AIA Las Vegas is tapping into the rich resource of our members talents and experiences – by presenting a series of programs in which “Architects Speak.”
Bring your lunch (we’ll provide the beverage) and join us at 11:30AM in the auditorium of the Historic Fifth Street School. Open to the public, no charge for attending. All programs are registered for AIA CLU credits. No charge to attend but you must RSVP to www.aialasvegas.org/events/calendar.
The message and the information in this presentation applies not only to “Young Architects” but to all who are interested in building stronger communities, and furthering their career achievements. The goal of this session is to encourage Young Architects, and young people, to not only become more engaged in their profession and their communities, but to identify the leadership skills they will need develop to become a successful leader in the profession and their community. Participants will leave with a toolkit and a newfound enthusiasm for personal improvement, for becoming leaders in their firms and communities and for serving the greater good. The program will chronicle the aspects of leadership development from Young Architect, Accomplished Practitioner to Citizen Architect.
Young architects are individuals who have been licensed ten years or less. While young architects share many of the same profession-wide issues as interns and Associate AIA members, they are unique in their professional development.
