Membership in the AIA provides a resource for professional and personal enrichment; a means for architects and design professionals to collectively create an enhanced level of professional worth.
The Las Vegas Chapter provides member services for Architects, Associates, Emeritus, Individual Allied Members and Allied Firm Memberships, as well as Friends of Architecture, in the Las Vegas and Southern Nevada areas. In addition to the benefits of membership on the National level, AIA Las Vegas provides an excellent program of member benefits specifically for each member category. Architects and Associates must maintain membership on the National, State and Local levels of AIA.
AIA Las Vegas Architect members receive benefits, resources and support to assist in their careers goals; provide learning opportunities; elevate and protect the profession. Definition of an Architect: Individual who is currently licensed to practice architecture in the United States. Proof of current license must be furnished along with application and dues payment. You must be licensed by the Nevada State Board of Architecture, Interior Design and Residential Design in order to practice architecture in the State of Nevada.

Definition of Associate Members:
An individual who is not licensed to practice architecture but who is working under the supervision of an architect in a professional or technical capacity; participating in career responsibilities recognized by licensing authorities as constituting credit toward licensure (i.e.interns); are a faculty member in an university program in architecture; or holds a professional degree in architecture.

Definition of New-Graduate Members:
In order to take advantage of the new-graduate offer, you must have graduated within the past 18 months with a professional degree in architecture from an accredited school of architecture. One year of complimentary Membership in AIA Las Vegas is provided to new-graduates who have graduated within the past 18 months with a professional degree in architecture from an accredited school of architecture.
Definition of Allied Business Partners: Individual memberships are available to those who are not architects but who work in related design and construction fields, including designers, engineers, consultants, contractors, manufacturers, suppliers and representatives of services and products.

Allied Firm Members: The Chapter provides a special Membership for firms in related fields who have three or more members from that firm as AIA members. Memberships are offered at the discounted rate of $325 each (a savings of $50 per member.)

Friends of Architecture: This special membership category was created for members of the Las Vegas community who appreciate and are interested in architecture and their built environment.
