AIA LV Scholarship Programs
The future success of the architectural profession depends on the development of well-prepared architects who are able to accept the challenges of the future. Through the commitment to the AIA Las Vegas Scholarship Endowment, the Chapter provides financial assistance and critical review to students at the UNLV School of Architecture to assist them in their education and in the development of their architectural thought process.
In 2010 there are 8 Scholarships totaling $18,000 being offered to students.
The Scholarships are:
For students enrolled in 3rd year studio in Fall 2010
- Felicia Friedlander Honorary Scholarship in the amount of $1,000
For students enrolled in 4th year studio in Fall 2010
- AIA Las Vegas Scholarship in the amount of $3,000
- William E. Snyder Honorary Scholarship in the amount of $1,000
- YWS Architects Honorary Scholarship in the amount of $2,500
- SH Architecture Honorary Scholarship in the amount of $2,000
For students enrolled in 5th year studio in Fall 2010
Travel Award
For All Architecture Students (Years 1-6)
These are juried awards and the requirements and applications are made available in February of each year. Criteria Packets and Applications are currently available at the UNLV School of Architecture Administrative Office, or at the AIA Las Vegas Office or you can download them from the links listed above. Jury takes place in April and the awards are officially announced in May. Scholarships are to be used for architectural education only and are made available for the following Fall semester.
Deadline:
The AIA Las Vegas Office must receive Submissions by noon on Friday, April 23rd, 2010. No late submissions will be accepted.
